Job Summary:
We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for the effective control of all aspects within the laboratory in terms of testing of substrate, inks, chemicals, effluent, as well as the final product.

Main Responsibilities (not limited to):
•To ensure compliance to equipment calibration specification and update procedures.
•Conduct tests on substrate, ink, chemicals, effluent, and final product.
•Run monthly reports and document all non-conformances.
•Identify deviations from standards and specifications and recommend rectifications.
•Conduct investigations on counterfeit notes.
•Ensure dual control and balancing of notes and that all notes are accounted for.
•Maintain laboratory equipment and compile annual calibration control matrix.
•Train staff on the use of laboratory equipment and procedures.
•Adhere to SHEQ standards and regulations.
•Engage in problem solving exercises to improve business operations as required.
•Work in cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
•Support the R&D function with testing, data capturing, and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications and experience:
•Grade 12 and Degree in Analytical Chemistry/ Chemistry.
•2-5 years’ experience in a laboratory environment within the printing industry.

Knowledge and Skills:
•Knowledge of ISO 17025.
•Exposure to ISO 9001 standard.
•Statistical analysis.
•Analytical.
•Verbal and Written communication.
•Research and problem solving.
